Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application provided by WestData (referred to as the 'Service' or 'we') handles information related to your use of the app (the 'App'). We operate as a commercial service and provide the App on an 'as is' basis while taking reasonable steps to protect privacy and data security.
When you download and launch the App, we may automatically record operational information such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, device operating system version, in-app navigation paths, session duration, and other basic device information needed to run the service. We may also process approximate location information in an anonymized or aggregated form to recommend suitable nodes and improve connection quality. This information is generally used for: 1. connection recommendation and routing; 2. stability analysis and troubleshooting; 3. service updates, security notices, and subscription-related communication. We aim to limit collection to what is reasonably necessary for providing and maintaining the Service.
We may share aggregated or anonymized information with necessary service providers that support functions such as crash analysis, infrastructure monitoring, or payment processing. We do not disclose personal information to third parties except where: 1. required by law, regulation, court order, or valid governmental process; 2. necessary to protect users, the public, or the Service from fraud, abuse, or safety risks; 3. required for vendors working under confidentiality obligations to perform specific service functions. If you want to stop new data collection through the App, you may uninstall it using the standard removal process on your device.
Information you provide may be retained during the active service period and for a reasonable retention period thereafter as needed for compliance, billing, dispute resolution, and support. If you want to delete your account or request removal of personal information, please contact us at [email protected]. The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If we learn that such data has been collected by mistake, we will take steps to delete it. We use reasonable physical, administrative, and technical measures to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect regulatory, operational, or technical changes. You should review this page periodically. Continued use of the Service after an update is posted means you accept the revised terms to the extent permitted by law. This version takes effect on October 4, 2025. If you have questions or suggestions about our privacy practices, contact the WestData team at [email protected].
